BRZ Limited wait time

Whats up everyone. I ordered a MT WR Blue BRZ Limited from Star Subaru in Queens, NY about 1 month ago. The salesman told me it would be about 6-8 weeks, and I've been busy with other things the past month so I didn't mind the wait. Now I'm getting anxious, and curious as to the wait time other members had in NYC for the same car.

I waited 30 minutes.

Seriously, I called the dealership, put down a credit card deposit and drove to the dealership to pick it up.

Use Subaru's search feature on their website to locate the exact car you want in your area. These cars have been out long enough that you shouldn't have to wait more then a day.

I'm not sure how it is in the northeast, but around here these things are sold before they show up online. So I ended up ordering one about 10 weeks ago. I wouldn't expect your car in less time than that unless they can find one at another dealer they can trade for. From the factory it's apparently a 2-4 month wait time. When I ordered in April they told me July/August for delivery and I haven't heard anything from them recently.

I've checked local inventories a couple of times and saw the car I ordered, listed, but when I call them, they don't have it. Also, I've called dealerships where my friends actually saw WRB cars, but they all turn out the be Premiums. I really hope I can wait this out...

I got in contact with local Subaru dealership (Los Angeles) on June 20th.
Fortunately, they had Limited M/T in World Rally Blue always on its way.
I went and put a small deposit to reserve it, on June 22nd.
When I was at the dealership to drop my check, the computer showed that the expected delivery date was July 8th.

After the down payment, the salesman changed the status of the car as 'sold'. He told me, by doing so, some time make the delivery priority (from the port in Santa Barbara, CA)

The arrived at dealership on June 25th. It only took 3 days after I put the deposit.

When I asked him how long would I have waited if I wanted a different color, he's answer was "no one knows".

I ordered my BRZ in mid-January, fresh build order as there were none up and down the east coast that had my options, it arrived the first week of March. 6-8 weeks is about right for a fresh build and shipment, at least on the East Coast.

6-8 weeks is the standard wait time for most Subarus, but the BRZ is tricky because it's limited production and in high demand. My BRZ is the third time ordering one (long story). The first time it took 3 months, the second time 3 weeks, the third time 3 months.

I'm in the midwest; I waited just over a month.

I have no clue as to why there's a wait time anywhere in New England unless you got a rock bottom price at a specific dealership. These things aren't flying off the shelves up here in Boston. Some of you guys might be better off taking a little road trip if the wait is killing you.

1 month wait. That made me LOL. Just be glad you didn't order last year. Ordered in April and picked the car up in September. Out of the 20something that my local Subaru dealership was allocated, I was the only person who ordered red.

Man, there are tons of Limited's in every color within 20 miles of where I live (Minneapolis). I think I can get about just any color right now and all of them are selling for $500-1500 under MSRP.

Same story for Boston...well almost; I don't think there's a red one, but there are probably at least 20 of them within 30 miles of Boston with that type of pricing. Hell, my own auto Limited was listed at $26995 excluding any fees and taxes.

VA/NOVA has about 7 available on the lots now... If u dont mind shipping or doing a minimal road trip back to NY. Try farrish subaru and springfield subaru. Between the two dealerships u should find one that u like.

It only took a few weeks for me to find specifically what I was looking for(WRB Premium, MT with no accessories). I kept hawking cars.com and autotrader.com in search of one. I actually found mine on one of them, I think they got it in that day or the day before I bought it. The dealers post them faster on there than their own website. Some of the dealer sites actually tell you what color and trans the car in transit has. Talk to the dealers as well, some maybe more willing to find you one than others.
