worse mpg after installing tsudo catback. any ideas?

I just got done installing a brand new tsudo catback exhaust. Im honestly real happy with the exhaust and was foot happy last night while driving it and breaking it in.

However today i decided to see what my mileage was without lead foot syndrome. Regardless of what i was doing i noticed on the real time MPG meter compared to what i used to get it was roughly 5mpg less.

Is this just the ecu relearning itself after the catback install or may there be another problem?

Did you reset your ECU (unplug it for 10 minutes or whatever the recommended period of time might be) after installing the exhaust?

I found that my TRD intake initially got a couple MPG increase which gradually went down. It fell even farther after I got my TRD exhaust installed (I didn't reset my ECU after the exhaust). I will reset my ECU when I get my BT OBD II sensor on Tuesday (hopefully it's on time) and drive around for a few days using Torque to try to establish a baseline of how the engine behaves after the reset while it's learning my engine from scratch.

i havent reset the ecu...do you just unplug the battery?

also if its a leak where could i go to / how do i go about finding an exhaust leak other than listening for a noise.

You just disconnect the negative battery terminal > Reconnect the terminal > let the car idle for 10 - 15 min. If you sit there while the ECU is readjusting, you will notice an obvious change in the sound of the motor when it has been calibrated (At first, it will be quiet as all hell, then it will audibly come to life and sound like it originally did).

As for leaks, there are various ways to check, but if you don't feel like being assed with it, just take it to any exhaust shop. They should tell you whether you do or not for free--fixing them if they exist, however, will cost you if you don't do it yourself).

are you driving more aggressive now?

When i went mod happy my initial mpg went down to 26mpg. But with Headers, Front pipes, stock cat back and a tune. i average 31-32MPG. 50/50 City/highway. I could do better but its hard to drive 65 (slow in AR) on the highway.

I just bought a tsudo exhaust and the fitment is terrible . I have the stock front pipe , I was wondering if you used the stock front pipe.. And also if you did, did you use the donut gasket or the flat gasket? This shit has me bugging out lol
