FA20CLUB Turbo Kit 10 PSI Preliminary Testing
Long day all around got to throw the car on the dyno to test our new base tune we finalized this week and decided to crank it up a notch and see how she liked it. Car runs even better on the new base tune than before and bumped up power on same 5psi level. When i ran her up to 10 psi we got 337hp 255tq. This was no timing changes mainly just the improved cam phasing and a few other things to make driveabilty better on the current kit. Next week we will complete the test with E85 on the same boost level and see what we get before we push it a little more. sorry just a crappy cell shot the dyno printer was dead. ill be back next week anyway so you guys get a sneak peek for now.

With all this money you're making surely you can afford a better phone than

i go through phones like no tomorrow. the dyno screen is actually a TV so its interlaced SMH
|
wait .... 337/337 at the wheels... on 93?!?!?!
|
LOL typo, like i said long day today
|
Still 337whp/255wtq is record setting for 93 octane alone... This is what i'm aiming for... I am increasingly more pleased with my choice to go with FA20club
|
Very nice! Might have to pay you guys a visit some day.
|
once i finalize the boost control settings for of kit im sure i could hit 350hp on pump easily but thats wouldnt be recommended for most only for those with balls of steel LOL @lexusb3
|
Well, you'll be tuning mine!
and when you're done i'll be hitting the dyno and returning some logs and dyno graphs to you for dialing in the safest highest WHP we can get with out walking that high temp knock line.. |
Nice!!!

Awesome. Which turbo was this with?
|
sick! in the future to avoid cell phone dyno plots, you can hit print screen, open MS Paint and click paste, that way you get a good quality screen cap.
|
i would have if i have a jump drive of network access on the dyno pc

Use CutePDF as your printer...print to a file (name and save)...save to local disk, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc...post to Flickr, Photobucket, etc for high quality full screen shot

so yes, you can probably run 10+psi on 91. you'll just likely have to pull timing to keep it from knocking. |

our Auto 57 trim putting in work LOL with my most conservative tune

Do you know about what RPM full boost is being achieved with the 60 trim? Also, when I get this, I'll be carless, muffler delete, 2.5" all the way back. Will this make it spool a little earlier?
Is there any turbo you offer with the kit that will spool the same as the 60 trim, but higher hp potential? Thanks |
are the t3/t4's you're using in these kits oil/water cooled or oil only?

it's like a catch can.... not required but always encouraged. Tony, What injectors are you using for 10psi pump gas tune.. i ordered the 550's but i'm thjinking they might be on the small side for 300+whp |
Nice numbers and congrats! The 60 trim is still impressing and I'm happy 10 psi is tuneable on pump gas.
Turbo timers I'm sorry are just never needed for anyone but maybe autocross guys that want to lock their car and walk away after a run. Now if you like gadgets it won't hurt to have one :) but at least get one that does something else like read boost. The key to good life with a journal bearing, oil cooled only turbocharger, is just to run really good synthetic oil. I've been using journal bearing turbochargers exclusively for years, some water cooled, and some oil only, and they hold up great. Unlike ball bearing turbochargers you don't restrict the oil flow so they are flooded with much more oil than a ball bearing. They are also cheap and easy to rebuild just about anywhere. On my car, which at 10 psi + I think a proper air/oil separator is pretty critical in reducing oil consumption. I was getting a little smoke until I installed our Competition Catch Can we use on our STis. I must be making more power than I thought running 14 psi on E85 as I'm +5 degrees more timing than what Tony and I discussed compared to his pump gas maps. |
Dam toni, ur setting it up so SoFlo has the fastest street FR-S's around. And I no at least 3 more of us coming ur way

Want to see real dyno!
Great numbers but I'm really curious to see if the tq curve is as flat as the one @5.3psi |
