Just installed the K&N cool air intake. The 69 Series Typhoon Kit. I have the dyno specs, as well as a before and after. What you think?

Just make sure you used the supplied screws when attaching the MAF sensor. I reused my OEM screws when i first put mine on. It worked great for a while then started throwing a CEL, it took me FOREVER to figure out what was going on.

Thanks for the heads up. I did use their screws for the sensor.

Here are some better pictures of the intake.

So what makes a difference in using the OEM screws and the K&N screws?

The difference is the K&N screws are a bit bigger to fit in the K&N pipe. I think it is just for the better seal.

I have noticed it picking up quicker. It did create an awesome sound when I hit the gas. I also removed the sound amplifier all the way to where it connects underneath the passenger airbag.

?

The airbag is up in the dash. The 'sound tube' entry is about six inches off the floor.

lol. What did you disconnect? Good to know you could tell a positive difference tho

I am sorry you are right. When I was trying to disconnect the tube at the elbow right beside the battery. The tube also disconnected where it goes into firewall. I think. It is hard to see.

I took off the sound amplifier in the red square. The K&N filter kit comes with a cap to block off air flow, but it is useless on there and looks bad.

Ok gotcha. Thanks!
