Theory on Subaru emblems
Hey, anyone notice there's two different kinds of Subaru emblems? One where the star ends are connect and one where they aren't?
http://media2.wlfi.com//photo/2013/0...17_320_240.JPG from Subaru's Indian Plant https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/i...Ffpcz5xV9n-7Lz I'm thinking Japanese-manufactured cars have the connected stars and US-manufactured are disconnected. Anyone know for sure? |
Other theory based on response on Facebook... Old vs New?
|
yeah i think its an old vs new thing, nothin more
|
Coming from a graphic designers point of view. I think it would be a case of old vs. new. Signs like that are pretty expensive to produce. I have come across companies who dont update all of their branding due to cost even though their logo has changed.

Yep, like the others have said. It's just old vs new. The real old ones are even more "connected" with bridges between the stars.
It's just the evolution of a brand. The Indiana example is just an older style emblem. |
Thanks for the insight :)
