Today has been an awful day I got my window tint "fixed" but they ended up scratching my pannel up with razor blades and scratched up the outside window as well, so now I have to get this panel and glass replaced, but I cant figure out the pannel part number and when I called my toyota dealership they didn't really know what part I meant, I've looked online with no luck so i'm hoping someone here might be able to help me. =/

Thanks so much for the help, Im going to bookmark this site for sure.

If you're only buying that piece, it might be cheaper and faster to buy at your local Toyota dealership once you factor in shipping.

It might be cheaper to get the Subaru part but I don't know where to get part numbers for Subarus

yeah, I cant believe how bad of a job this tint place did, I just noticed they even cut into my weather stripping. I cant pick the scratches up that well on my phone but they're worse then they look in the pics:brokenheart:... Would anyone know the part number for the weather stripping as well? the only thing I found was this. http://www.villagescionparts.com/sho...0right%20strip

wow...that's an amazingly awful job. I can't believe they cut the weatherstripping that badly.

I'd be contacting the BBB...or at least giving them a *really* bad review on Yelp!

Yeah, i'm trying to get them to pay to replace this stuff, then I have the problem of finding someone to tint that window, because these people will never touch my car again. This place seemed really credible, i'm in the military and they're on post, they do tons of peoples cars and they're partnered with AAFES so it seemed like I could trust them, but apparently not. I'm going to file a report with the BBB, AAFES and anyone on post that I can, and also leave them reviews, just waiting to see what they're going to do for me first. The manager said he would call me by 4 (40 min from now) at first he tried offering me store credit, that was a joke, I wonder if hes ever gotten anyone to fall for that.

That tint installer should not be doing anymore tint jobs...I have never seen anything that bad :bonk:

I can't help with the weatherstrip part number...so bump the thread again for someone who has an answer

Attachment 41962 it looks even worse from the top view.

wparsons 06-24-2013 07:56 PM

Yeah, that's 100% the fault of the installer/shop and is purely sloppy/careless work.

You shouldn't have to do anything except take the car back and get them to fix it. If that doesn't work, get a lawyer involved.

Bailey239 06-24-2013 08:10 PM

I really don't want these people near my car. The manager was supposed to call me by 4 and now its 5, so ill call them at 530 and if they don't give me any info ill have to escalate the problem to someone that can help me. I'm also going to contact 3M because they need to revoke their endorsement on this shop... any chance you might know the part number for the weather striping?
