San Angelo area?
 

I'm heading to Goodfellow AFB for the winter months, wondering if there are any forum members in the area. What should I look forward to as far as the car scene? Any places I need to see in the area? Any places to avoid?

Yeah I stay in Angelo part of the time ive only seen 2 other frs. Im there on business so really can't say what the scene is like. I play in Dallas

There are a couple of us up in Abilene, at Dyess AFB

I am actually in San Angelo full time. Stationed at Goodbuddy. Car Scene? It actually is ok sorta... there is a pretty regular Cruise Night on Fridays. Just really a lap or two around town then park and talk at a large parking lot. Sometimes there are upwards of about 50-75 cars. Now when I say this I mean there is a WIDE variety of cars and personalities. I have only been out a couple of times. Most of the people are pretty cool. But as any large group of people you will have some that are......less than desirable company. Look for me running around town in a Firestorm. If you have any other questions PM me.

I'll be in San Angelo for the winter months this year, figured I'd revive this thread to see if there's enough interest in maybe setting up a semi-regular meet. I'm coming from Arizona and we've got a fairly active group of people. I get into town Monday night (16th) and will be there until February. Lets get something going if there's enough interest?

I've been here for a week and have seen a firestorm FRS, a hot lava, and a WRB brz all on the base. If any of you are here, speak up; lets get together some time.

Hey guys, I am in San Angelo and have been seeing a lot of FRS/BRZ lately. Well one BRZ. I wouldn't mind setting something up. I have one of the Firestorms in town, I think I have a twin right now. RedLeader, which inserts did you buy? I just got some and I was thinking of putting them on this weekend. Well not thinking, I am, I just wasnt sure how to go about it just yet. Havent found a good install thread or anything. Hope to see you guys around.

What inserts are you talking about? I'm not sure what you're referring to?

The fender inserts. I put mine on today, ended up being easier than I expected.

Mine are the stock ones, just wrapped in satin black vinyl.

Hey just wanted to let you guys know that this weekend the 19th in Abilene there is a cruise night where the whole town takes their cars out and drive around the town in a designated route. It is actually a great time and there is a great mix of cars from old to new and custom. figured I would throw out the info and see if anyone wants to go.

I live in Abilene, so I'll be there. The actual show part was pretty sweet last year...really big turnout.
