frs sluggish in first and second gear at 2k-4k rpm
 

Got my FRS about two months ago, has 1800 on the odo. Noticed in the past few weeks that the car will sometimes start sluggish. Pulling away from stoplights, with consistent pressure on the gas pedal the RPMs will hang up at about 1500 rmps then 2500 rmps and the car will be incredibly jerky. Its like a hiccup and then the car will jump up rpms and lurch forward. Googling around, I've found on other forums that this can be caused by faulty ignition coils. Any one else having this issue? Any insight would be great!

What mods do you have on it?

Completely stock.

It sounds like it could be faulty ignition coils. My Cadillac CTS has the same issue and ive replaced 3 already. Although ive never heard of it happening with this car, it not impossible. take it to the dealership and have them check it out.
