June 14th & 15th, 2013 we had first annual 86EXPO. Members from all over the US have drove & flew to Las Vegas!

Friday June 14th 2013 - Autocross
Coordinating with LVRSCCA, we had solo2 course all to ourselves! Members came early as 5PM at the Silverton parking itching to autocross! There were over 40 FRS/BRZ came to compete, drive, ride, take a photo, & social. Decent amount of owner were their first time autocross and sounds like they had a fun time.

First session was practice session, to get comfortable with course and not to go too crazy from the beginning (You know, who I'm talking about ;) ).

Yes, we have autocrossed til night! Some of the members were saying they have autocross before, but never autocross in the night and it was fun! We've autocrossed til pass 11PM! Big thanks to LVRSCCA for help with this event.

As you can tell from the mod's list, engine power isn't the most important part (to certain extend) to be fast in autocross. Right suspension setup, brake pads & rotors, lightweight wheels & right width tires. I can't wait to see next year's 86EXPO autocross to see how much everyone have improve and what different setup/upgrades are done to the FRS/BRZ.

Saturday June 15th 2013 - Car Show & Cruise
At the Fletcher Jones Toyota Scion, members came to show awesome mods they've done to their car and see what kind of parts vendors offered at the event.

Car show, we had over 15 FRS/BRZ came to compete! We have chosen several members and vendors to vote which car they like.

After quick raffle drawings, we went to cruise into Lake Mead and Lake of Fire.

Outside was over 115 degrees, but member's FRS/BRZ blowing cold AC to cool them off (I hope).

...& sixth trophy was given to Norcal 86 Owner Club members as Special Award. Behind the scene, without asking for help, they helped clean the mess members have made at the dealer parking lot. I believe these kind of respectful act is important in the meet. Again thank you.

Event had few here & there hiccups, but overall it was smooth and everyone had an awesome time!

Note 2014 86EXPO:
I'm getting few PM about having 2014 86EXPO at their state. That's fine, but please write reasons why. If you just write "Please do 2014 86EXPO at *****, cuz it's closer." I'll reply "Rejected". write a convincing essay (pics are fine to add)!

What a GREAT time I missed out on! The worst part is while I was on a family vacation my BRZ sat in our garage in Las Vegas only 5 minutes from the Silverton during the events. I had just hit 1000 break in miles and have been dying to try autocross. Maybe I should have let a out of town member borrow my car instead of cruising a rental? Please bring the event back to Vegas and I promise we'll turn down the heat next year! Thank you!

Seriously, it was freaking HOT!!!

I'm telling you guys that are from the east side. It was worth making the trip to be at the 86 Expo.
