Anybody play GT5?
 

Along with driving my FR-S, sim racing is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time. I was just playing Gran Turismo 5 and it dawned on me, I wonder if anyone on the forums would want to race? So I had this idea, why not open a server on GT5 for forum members to come in and race each other?

I've actually done quite a few of FT86 rooms recently and the results have been pretty awesome. The concept, GT86, FR-S and BR-Z were all allowed and we have had some epic battles for hours on end, its actually the most fun I've had on any GT5 server. Ultimately though, it does turn into a 'tuner war' and all the good times come to an end when the 'aliens' show up and put everyone to shame.

So just now, as I was playing in 'one-make' test race with a bone stock FR-S, I thought to myself 'if only I could find some guys who would actually want to race purely stock cars, no tune, and with street tires, I wouldn't have to beat up on these dang AI cars all the time (because that does get old pretty fast). Online racing is so much better when its a drivers race anyway.

So who's down?

he didnt list them and i believe the host can control what cars can be entered.

Technically the regulations are set for FR drivetrain 197hp 1230kg vehicles with sport hard tires and tuning prohibited.

If it fits, it ships.

Eh, that sucks. Well as soon as you get that fixed up let me know. Im always looking for racing buddies.

Im going out for lunch and supplies. Gonna leave the server open if anyone wants to dabble. Or just pm me if your interested in racing at another time. Like I said, sim racing is a hobby of mine and I think it'd be really cool to have an ft86club race every now and then just for kicks.
