You guys should see mine lol. Hence why 911 has oem clearbra like material on rear quarter panels

My car has this as well, though not as bad. I've only driven in rain once, a bit of snow as well.

I think it all came from staying on the right most line of the road going down the highway. I was trying to avoid other traffic throwing crap at me, but the passenger side is noticeably worse than the driver side. I have mud guards as well. Even with those, I think this is just sand flung from the front tires.

It sucks but it is what it is. I will be compounding mine down to see if I can make it look better but some of the chips are definitely deeper than the opti/clear/pigment layers.

It looks like you have aftermarket wheels and tires, yes? How much does your front tire stick out relative to the back of the front wheel well?? When I put on my auto-x wheels and tires I get a TON of stuff kicked all the way back to that location, but they are only on for a few hours once or twice a month.

I have ~9k highway miles on it (11k total). After determining they were in fact chips, I rubbed a light polish on them and it slightly cleaned them up. I can look closely and see they are actually pretty deep(most of them through the clear). My step dad does custom air brushing and has millions of years of experience with all types of paints as well (since he's old) and he thinks there is a defect in the paint. He doesn't think the paint should be that soft and chip so easily. I bought the car new in November and at this rate, it's going to need a $5k paint job to cover the orange peel and chips by next year... ohh yea, I forgot to say when I was purchasing the car, I had all the clear plastic films checked off in my accessories but the dealer told me not to do it bc it peels up and fades the paint differently in comparison to unprotected spots. What's the point of the $100 I spent to have the stock mudguards put on by those quacks anyway?

it's that world famous Subaru paint.
