White FRS Crash at Cayuga Tonight - Anyone Here?
2 Attachment(s)
Hello All,
Was at Cayuga this evening for the open lap session and just as we got there around 6:00pm a White FRS tagged the wall on the last turn before the straight. Not sure if it's someone on the forum but apparently they only had the car for 4 weeks! Looked pretty nasty with the curtain airbag going off and the rear bumper was toast. Anyways ... hope the guy is alright and gets his car sorted ... though it looks like a write off. Cheers, Zoomby_U |
RIP to the car D: hope the drivers fine!
|
Yeah the driver seemed ok ... but was obviously a bit shaken ... and there were a LOT of people out tonight so probably not a comfortable scene for him.
Cheers, Zoomby_U |
rough

what exactly happened? O.O
|
Lost it going into the second last corner and tried to save it but ended up clipping the concrete divider that's there to protect the pit area. Must of had the traction and stability control fully off to lose it that badly. If he just let it spin out then he probably would have been fine. Looks worse than it was as it was relatively low speed by the time he hit the wall.
Cheers, Zoomby_U |
damn.. really sucks.

Yet another STRONG endorsement for HPDE... I'm going to bet that this was the person's first RWD car and they had never been to a track before but thought they could go flying around at the limit.
|
That will buff out...

Don't mean to sound like a douche but parts?
|
The very reason I'm not in a hurry to start taking my car to th track. Without knowing what you are doing (sorry, but true), proper setup etc....it's just nuts.
And for those rich enough to just push their car off a cliff, get a really good helmet and roll cage. |
Dont know why people try to be a hero on that corner. I've seen a guy crash his friends gt2 into that wall, a subaru understeer and flip the car over, and now this frs. People need to know their driving limits.
