Looking for Info on Dealer Installed Borla Exhaust
Hey everyone
I picked up my FR-S from Courtesy Toyota in Brandon, FL on Monday. It came with a pre-installed Borla Exhaust kit, which is covered under warranty. I originally assumed it was a factory option but I realize now that it's not. I went on Scion's official website and found no mention whatsoever of it. Basically looking for more information on the exhaust, if anyone else has it, how they like it and how it compares to other exhaust systems. It was a $699 feature but I didn't pay anything for it. PS: I tried to use the :search: button but I didn't really find much. Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere! Still pretty new to the forum. |
weird.

did you buy a new car? as for warranty - i'm sure it is covered under warranty. from borla.

Dealers do that sometimes, adding aftermarket bits. A lot of the cars here in fl come with 5AD spoilers, which aren't an official option. There is a dealer near UCF that offers leather interior on the fr-s, done by a local upholstery shop. You never know what you'll find out there...

The dealership I bought mine from had different wheels, the 5AD kit and locally built (great part!) coilovers, and would deliver customer cars with any of them if wanted.

It's cool you got an exhaust on it from the dealer, so you had some noise right away. If you know you didn't pay anything for it (probably just took away some gross as a buying incentive), just take it or leave it really.
