hodgepodge of mods, yay or nay?

What's your opinion on a BRZ with assorted mods from Tom's, TRD, STi, Perrin, and maybe even OE accessories from Scion and Toyota?

Example: would a TRD intake/catback (and matching decals) look awkward/tacky on a BRZ?

As it is I'm not really into having a theme (i.e. straight STi or straight JDM) setup as I find that limiting. Different aftermarket vendors have different specialties and I'd like to be open on what they offer.

Use what works best regardless of what it's decal says...

Personally I'm all about what is the best value while looking good. It doesn't matter if brands match. Of course I'm also not one to cover my car in logos so you may be going for a differnt look.

Unless you plaster it with giant stickers, hardly anyone else would know.
If you're OCD to use only one mono(mfg)mania, that single sticker would get so lonely

Didn't think that TRD would rate very highly with a beezer :iono:

Agree completely. Quality and benefit is what's important.

Thanks for the responses. Makes me remember the AMG tuned Mitsubishis of old. Not everyone will understand, but hey, that's makes them awesome.

Who would've thought that in there would be Tom's/TRD modified Subarus and STi modified Toyotas!

I couldn't stomach overpaying for Trd stuff, but it's cool on other people's stuff.

:iono:What the heck. If it is just what one says on the outside, just get the stickers and not the hardware. A lot cheaper. I have a couple of Perrin stickers for sale - Five bucks each AND THAT INCLUDES SHIPPING TO ANYWHERE IN THE CONTINENTAL USA.:laughabove:

One of the beautiful things about this car is that if you want to go OEM+, you actually have choices... that being said, TRD and STi stuff is super expensive. If you can afford it, it'd be a nice build, but there's very few people who can be picky here. For the most part, like the other said, we buy what's a good value regardless of brand.

Happy modding :)

If you have to ask this question, you're modding for flair or name recognition only.

If you don't care for this, you're modding for performance or value (you're getting from the parts).

Honestly? Imagine how FR-S guys feel when they're adding TRD parts to a car full of Subaru parts.

Go with whatever works the best and makes you happy.

Personally I think going with all one manufacturer makes you kind of a tool. I find what I like best, what works best and what I can get the best deal on for each part, in that order.
