OCD scratched bumper on driveway...

My OCD is kicking into overdrive over driving into a steep driveway last weekend. I can't see it really from the front, but I know it's there and will see it when I do my oil change...

I tell myself I will be more careful from now on and should get it repaired, but more than likely I will end up doing worse to it as my DD and time goes by. It just hurts cuz I just hit 1000mi and already scratched my baby!

Phew, feel better venting now... I think I will go out and feel the scratches now and fire myself up some more. :bonk:

Did the same thing... felt like I cut a pound of flesh off of myself.

Did you fix or just learn to live with it?

Learned to drive with it... You could touch up the areas that bother you. At least you don't see black that way?

you're looking at it all wrong.

This is the FIRST thing you do when you get a new car. you scratch the shit out of a spot nobody can see. This ensures you meet your scratch quota and incur no further accidental scratches.

call me superstitious but it works. I learned it form an old hot Rod builder.

If I may put it in another way: when your new car gets its first scratch, the ECU between your ears adapts. ;)

hurts like hell, arghh............cause even though its nothing anyone can see visibly- i know its there and it hurts me. from now on, drive slowly when going on driveways because even if you think its safe and its low enough- better safe than sorry. Slow is ok to go...... hum, i feel a little better now too.....
