They don't have any info on HP/Torque, but they do have pricing up and appear to be taking deposits. I'm hopeful this system will prove more powerful than Innovate or Vortech.

in base form it will make approx 80 more whp than stock on 91 octane fuel with stock exhaust and header

on e85 with header and exhaust, this kit made 127hp more than the stock car.

as for ultimate dyno 'numbers' that is going to vary from dyno to dyno. on our dyno, which is a rototest hub dyno (which is the only chassis dyno considered accurate enough to use for R&D purposes by OEM manufacturers), the base vehicle made 157whp...with e85 we were at 284whp

if you want to chase after even higher horsepower, this kit is designed to use the larger rotrex c38 charger which can move enough air to supports 700whp (approx)...obviously actual results may vary, but IMHO 500whp shouldnt be a problem

here's some more information that can serve as a basis for discussion or comparison with other kits on the market...

Do you represent Kraftwerks or work for them?

Any info to share about oil cooler fitment on that shop car? It looks like they have a custom sandwich plate to make it fit with that huge bracket in the way. Is it thermostatic?

So this kit also replaces the crank pulley with one that has a toothed section for the SC belt in front of the ribbed part for the OEM belt?

i work on the engineering/R&D side of things at group-a

regarding the oil cooler set-up....the sandwich plate (not thermostatic) was designed tall to make access to the oil cap easier ...not to clear the supercharger plate. the adapter, lines, and oilcooler will be release shortly, as a skunk2 part

Found a couple more pics

It looks like anyone with a Perrin/Mishimoto/FBM/Mocal oil cooler kit is screwed without new lines and the skunk2 sandwich plate, which is not yet confirmed to be thermostatic.

Any info on a CARB legal version?

I saw this at the meet last night.

I didn't get any info on CARB.

Although I did a quick photoshop overlay over a dyno of mine on E85 (i am running just a tad more boost than them) and the low end seems like it may be more promising.

Their E85 pull looks like my 92 octane pull, 150tq@2500rpm, 211tq@6000 and 274hp. And I'm still on stock pully... So 8.5ish psi @7400

What's the upgrade path for the rotex?

the kraftwerks system is designed to be able easily use the Rotrex C38 series of chargers. The C38-92 moves enough air to support about 700bhp

Umm so anyone else see Skunk2 header?? when the fuck did that happen?

gmsii 10-02-2013 06:14 PM

the skunk2 exhaust and header haven't happened yet....the units on the car are pre-production prototypes

They need to make a pro series manifold for the fa20 :P

Max power for the included compressor, the c30-94, is 435 hp. Considering that's probably crank hp so taking away 20% for drive line losses that's 348 whp max with this compressor. Finally, someone picks a compressor that isn't too small out of the box.

Keep up the good work.

Yea I also noticed looking at the compressor map this would be at the very start of the efficiency range (which is quite large). I'm new to this stuff but that's what it looked like to me at least.

And that's all without overspinning the blower which you'll need to do to get the most out of the Vortech.

The main thing I'm concerned with is heat... I've heard mixed opinions on heat with a rotrex unit but I'm hoping its manageable and it looks like they are track testing it so that's good news...
