Steering wheel swap questions

I am looking at getting a new wheel for my car.
So far all the "brand names" such as nardi/sparco. momo are all in the 200 range. What makes them better than wheels such as
http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-350MM-PV...e17784&vxp=mtr

and
http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-32...601a8b&vxp=mtr

Is there a reason that the

Is so much more than the listings shown above. I dont want to seem cheap but Is brand name worth 100-200 more than ebay? and if so why.

Also what adaptor would I need to make a generic 6point wheel work??

Some of it's the name...some of it's quality. Hard to find a non name brand that is also quality built, though, so usually it's best to shell out the money for the name brand piece, especially on anything that you might need in an emergency situation.

Considering that it is your direct point of control for your vehicle, spending a little extra for that peace of mind of having a brand name with reputation/quality behind it wouldn't hurt...

Why replace your stock steering wheel that has airbags with a cheap-o soft metal no airbag steering wheel? If you cant afford it, then dont spend on it.

You can see in the video above of how the quality is of one of those knockoff Nardi wheels. There are other companies out there that are well known and make cheaper steering wheels such as NRG and Grip Royal. While those companies' steering wheels don't bend like a pretzel, you will a difference in the overall finish.

Compare the stitching of the cheaper stuff to other wheels like Nardi, Key's Racing, Vertex etc and it isn't as finely finished. Nor, in my opinion, are the materials used as nice as the higher end wheels. But that's what you get when you pay $100 for a wheel rather than $300-400. I have nothing against NRG or Grip Royal. The people that work there are great and they make good products aimed at a lower price point. But it doesn't compare to the top dollar stuff.

^This is one of my all time favorites. Nardi Personal Neo Grinta steering wheel.

They make it in 330 and 350mm. The stitching is great, the solid feel of the wheel is great and then there's the leather they use. It's perfect. The wheel is thick and falls perfectly in your hands. The leather is similar to that on our OEM steering wheel on the top and bottom. A bit plush but feels solid and stiff and you can get a nice grip anywhere on the wheel. You can get them for as little as $230 which is damn cheap for a wheel made by Nardi.

I have a 350mm Neo Grinta and Works Bell hub that will be here for my FR-S tomorrow.

If $200 is too expensive for you, then definitely don't look into how much the DAMD steering wheel I bought for my STI costs...
