2014 MY head unit details? watts?
 

Hey guys. I tried searching but couldn't find any info. I will be purchasing a FR-S 10 series shortly. As many of you know, the 10 series will bring a new touch screen head unit. There has been no mention of any speaker upgrades. What I've been dying to know is this new unit's specs. I really dont like how the current model sound system performs and I plan on swapping the stock speakers to infinity kappas, which sound spectacular. These speakers have an RMS of 90 watts and max power of 270w (2ohm, resistance). I read somewhere on here that this new system on MY2014 will be 300 watts, sadly I cant find out were I read it :bonk:. can somebody confirm if this is true? I want to see if i can do a direct swap or will I need to purchase an amp to up the power output. Thanks guys! nevermind! finally found it. To anyone interested, apparently the new system bumped wattage up to 300 watts from 200. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...tts#post862871
