11k miles and I still....

Love every second I drive this car.
Stare at it every time I walk away from it.
Park absurdly far away judging the shade to potential pollen and pine cones ratio (lol).
Get super excited when I see another twin.
Give a thumbs up to other car enthusiasts ESPECIALLY American muscle cars as I think that import v muscle feud is moronic.
Will talk someone's ear off if they ask anything about my car.
Refresh the tracking information when I order mods about 15 times an hour.
And best of all I'm still learning how to drive this car better.
Have a good day my fellow 86ers!
Brandon

I'm about 1900 miles in and I still have mixed feelings on it. I love it but there are a couple small things that are to my disliking. But, that's how it will always be no matter what car you buy.

Honestly, a header and ecu tune to lose that torque dip would make me pretty content with the power on it. It's not bad, but that dead spot just gets annoying to me after a while. After that, I think the car will have me 100% sold on keeping it for a really long time.

It has it's little issues here and there. Overall though, I'm happy with it. It's a good car.

Same here, the fr-s is such a fun car to drive. Always look forward to spending time behind the wheel of mine. The only downside is it's made my GTI feel a bit dull and top-heavy.

The torque "dip" is the beginning of its second wind.. where the fun begins..
you would think with continuous VVT , 2 fuel systems, ECU sophistication and all.. that this issue shouldnt exist. It adds character, I guess. You just need to be aware its there and grab the right gear to put you in the revs above it. Its hasnt been an issue for me.. its not a dip in feel.. more like a plateau in power for a few hundred rpms.. makes it feel like its "winding" up for its torque peak..

23K miles & still feel the same way.

Also keep in mind the twins make like 90% of their torque below 3K rpms. Pros and cons to everything, having just from from a turbocharged car, I also appreciate the N/A engine quite a bit. Throttle response is quite good and of course no lag.
