Aside from the heat issues... this is how I feel:

Good stuff.

Lol..insufficient turbos system....overheated.....what is the point of reviewing it ?

jkonquer 06-17-2013 10:58 AM

Too bad they didnt get to do some lap time at the track. But way better review than the other reviewer from drive

FastLane1000 06-17-2013 11:29 AM

I'd want my check engine light off and tire pressure sensors working right.

I'm curious about why the CEL was on but also, I think it's a bit stupid to continue increasing the power without first addressing the heat issues. They had the same heat issues when Drive reviewed it and it seems like it makes even more power now.

If I'm wrong, correct me.

jkonquer 06-17-2013 11:52 AM

Its probably because its a street car with occasional pulls. But reliablity should be priority

suaveflooder 06-17-2013 12:16 PM

They have taken it to the track. My friend has seen it a couple time. He said the car is pretty sick, just breaks down a lot

armythug 06-17-2013 02:32 PM

Impressive

Reliability should be a priority but this is their R&D car and it's nice to see how far they can push the platform. I'm sure any 300whp Crawford kit would be buttoned up and quality.

Keeping this car on the ragged edge is its purpose for now...

I remember a while ago, Matt Farah test drove an frs with a FBM kit in it. They also had heat issues, which they just mentioned in the FBM thread that they mostly solved by removing the plastic piece that sits just in front of the windshield wipers.

I'm really surprised that the Crawford guys haven't modded the front bumper or hood at all to allow more airflow. It must be an oven in the engine bay.

If I get a large chunk of money, I will send my car to them for something a bit more mild.

This car is amazing!

I love how people see a video with a car that has gone through more than one motor, has a check engine light on, overheats, and has run like crap in two big Internet videos now and yet they still want to throw money at Crawford. There are plenty of better options out there RIGHT NOW to have a better performing car than the Crawford car.

I mentioned some of this above. Kaiv from m3forums has raced with them a couple times and it breaks down every time. The car is hardly something i would aspire to when, as you mentioned, there are more reliable alternatives out.
