Popping Sound While Idle
 

Hey all, I've heard a lot of about all kinds of popping sounds coming from our engines as well as the DI issues and was hoping someone could tell me if the popping coming from my car is cause for concern.

Is your A/C on?

No, neither the AC or my heater is on.

Also just wanted to note that it was idling around 500rpm and blipping to 600-700 at regular intervals. Should I take another video with the engine hood open?

Hope so! But one question:

Did you turn up the volume? The pops are faint since I didn't think to lift the hood. You can notice 2 of them around the 3 second and 20 second marks.

Did you have the HVAC on defrost mode? That sounds like the A/C compressor cycling.
