Ouch, yeah sounds like they already have quite an event planned for that day.

I have not reached out to them but I definitely will tomorrow now that you guys have brought up this other event. I was unaware of it as it is not indicated on the Canepa website calendar. My guess is that the Cars and Coffee event in the morning will be separate from the Auto d'Elegance in the afternoon since the hours of the two events are different.

I just got off the phone with Canepa and I can confirm that the Cars & Coffee and the other event are separate events. Cars and Coffee will still be a free event and there is no need for me to give them a warning that a group of our size will be coming. We'll just show up and park. It seems to be a very casual event. Considering the event is from 8am to noon we really need to leave at 8am sharp for our drive. That should give us an hour and a half at the shop to check everyone out.

thanks for confirming with the people at Canepa Chris. I've updated the info on the 86DRIVE events calendar.

For those who simply can't get up early enough or end up arriving late -- just meet us at Canepa in Scotts Valley around 10:00-10:30AM. I know for past drives we've waited for people who said they're running late due to various reasons but for this one I think we really have to stick to the schedule. There are plenty of nice roads in the area so you can certainly find some amusement on the way there even if you don't join our group on the drive. But to put it simply, do your best to be there on time if you don't want to be left behind. :)
