Stubborn Water Marks on Glass

The water where I live is rather hard (or must be anyway), and has caused me to get water marks on the glass rather quickly with every car I've ever had.

In the past, everything I've ever tried hasn't really worked. I've tried Zaino's glass polish, Griot's glass polish, 0000 steel wheel, you name it.

I decided to give some Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish a shot today, on a whim, and after reading some success with it on another forum, and it worked magic. Supposedly, their chrome polish is preferable, but for having some of the M&A polish on hand, I was impressed with the results. One pass didn't get 100% of the water marks (particularly on the black portions of the glass), but I was really happy to say the least (for a car that's just 6 months old, it was atrocious how bad the glass was... and I never wash it in the sun, and always dry it right away, etc.).

Anyone else ever try this stuff?

Move to a state with better water.................:D There are some companies that sell de-ionizers, but they're not cheap.

Ha, that's just it... after the last two cars, I got a TDS meter, and the water isn't showing as exceptionally hard on that.

I've seen the water deionizers, and have thought about getting one... I just worry it won't actually solve the problem. I know Griot's has a mini one, maybe I should try that.

In the interim, it's nice to know there's actually a way to get the water marks off.

Drier sheets... I was getting bug guts off the paint with a couple, and tried it on the glass... viola!
Not sure why it works...
