Manual in DMV?

How would you rate driving a Manual in the DMV area. I already hate driving manual in my local area and I already know DC is gonna be 3x worse. Just looking for your opinions.

Well given you said you already hate driving it there, guessing you'll be pretty miserable here. Heading for Andrews?

The clutch is pretty light with an easy engagement.. Idk, the car seems pretty easy to drive in traffic.

I have only ever owned manuals and have been living in nova since before I could drive. IMO the benefits when you get outside of town are worth the pain on the beltway.

I don't hit traffic too much, but when I do my clutch foot falls the hell asleep.

Totally worth it though.

Lol isn't DC rated as one of the worst traffics? If you hate there...

Edit: DC area

#1 in the country, actually surpassed LA a few years ago.

Totally worth having the stick. Clutch is light and easy to modulate in traffic. It's not "fun" in traffic but the transmission is the better one to have at the end of day for my other fun.

Do burnouts in stop and go traffic
:burnrubber:

Great, when other people aren't around.

Not to mention the worst drivers in the country. DC, Alexandria, and Arlington are all on the list :(

How come Annandale did not make it? We have so many Asians who live here that it will soon become a natural habitat.

swift996 06-16-2013 05:12 PM

I actually enjoy it. It sucks from time to time when you get caught up in a ton of traffic but the normal day to day for me isn't too bad. I also only live about 5 miles from work.
