AEM ems

I know JDL is using aem with their twin scroll turbo system, but has anyone made the jump to a standalone ems yet? I don't want a locked down computer and I would love to hook this thing into windows 8 tablet mounted on the dash. I tried looking on aem's website but I don't see a working system yet. Anyone have info on this yet?

They are running a custom AEM setup without the use of the direct injectors. It sounds like Element Tuning and the Hydra EMS might be more up your alley although I don't know about hooking into a Windows 8 tablet.

Full blown/Visconti tuned a turbo BRZ on port injectors only the other day too.

It can obviously be done, but I kind of like the idea of utilizing them for the 95% of the time where I am not boosting, and I am crusing and hoping to get some good MPGs.

Wasn't there a user on the forum that was working with Mikey? on the AEM EMS?

The best standalone IMHO is MoTeC, and they're currently developing their ecu to operate DI too :) ( with the MoTeC 1 ecu aka M1)
