Uhhh.. Is this supposed to happen?

Alright so I've read a lot about the idle rev dip and how it's "normal." Well this just doesn't look normal to me. First video you can see the revs jumping, then the second you can see the pulley stop, make a snapping noise and start again. This only happens when the A/C button is on and at idle. Anyone else experience this?

Sorry I had to use photobucket.

Why does it do this? My previous cars did nothing like that (GS400 and SC430).

That's just the A/C compressor clutch engaging and disengaging. The AC is quite a load on the engine, making the idle fluctuate.

Probably didn't notice it before because you had a big motored luxury car and now you are in a small motored low price sports car. As mentioned it is 100% normal.

100% correct. For example, in my Tacoma w/Auto trans, if you had the AC on and were stopped at a light, the compressors clicking on would blip the motor enough to make it feel like somebody tapped from behind. Again, perfectly normal.
