Anyone running a baffle resonator front pipe?
The non-catted front pipe was a little too loud/raspy paired with my header. I was wondering if I should go with a hi-flow catted front pipe or a resonated front pipe?
I would think the resonator would be more effective at containing noise while allowing greater flow. Anyone running or have knowledge? |
The Scorpion one is resonated. Seems that noise levels are similar to stock but flow better.

Just trying to get a feel for the sound. |
Nameless now offers a high flow combo over/front pipe with a helmholz resonator. Seems competitively priced.

HKS front pipe is catless and has two resonators. It's like $315 |
I'm running the Invidia resonated front pipe and the N1 catback. I think it's the perfect DD sound. Nice and subtle on the freeway and loud when you stomp on it

@swift996 do you have the catted fa20 or non? Two highflow cats will be less loud than highflow cat with resonated front pipe. Depends on how much quieter you want it. |
I have the catted P&L coming and am looking for a resonated front pipe to keep the sound down. Right now I just have the stock front pipe and the non-resonated Perrin catback. Looks like there are more options to choose from than I first thought.

I thought about the HKS one but FA20club did it for basically the same price. I was happy with the quality of the header. |
