GT86 on Swiss Mountain Roads

Hey guys

It starts to finally get warmer over here, and the mountain roads are accessible again (they are closed over winter due to massive snow)

Well, I took Wingo for a quick spin over one of the "smaller" Mountain roads after work today, as the bigger ones are still closed. The whole tour only took me about 4 hours, however had to hurry back home because weather got quiet nasty (you see some clouds already forming on the pictures)

Anyway, made some pictures for you guys, hope you enjoy the scenery as I did. I downsized and compressed the pictures so it wont take forever to load them :-) Hope quality is still good enough

Stunning! The car looks great too of course but those mountains, valleys and roads are breathtaking. My family immigrated from Switzerland about 150 years ago. It is the one place in Europe that I would like to visit in my lifetime.

Those are some amazing shots. Car and road both look awesome. You are fortunate to have both available.

Wow. Your 86 and those roads look fantastic! Thanks for sharing!!:happy0180:

As a Californian, two things stick out to me: first of all, there is no one around. There are a lot of awesome roads out here, but you'll always encounter traffic unless you've already driven an hour outside of suburbia.

The second thing is the lack of guardrails or any borders to the roads...because California is the land of guardrails and fences. Our twisties usually have a guardrail on the edge of the road and a fence just beyond to protect someone's private property. As a photographer in a beautiful place, that really grinds my gears. So many scenic vistas are ruined by fences. I love how you just parked on the side of the road and got some awesome snaps :)
