Sorry guys....

Saw LED DRL on a Buick SUV this morning. I already thought they jumped the shark with this, but now I'm sure...

What are we trying to get at here? Basically everything (not including those waitng to be refreshed) that's not an entry level vehicle is getting this kinda of treatment from GM now.

The ELR / CTS LEDs are freaky (hard to explain, but they have a blue-ish hue that makes them hard to focus on... it's just strange because they seem to be clear and blurry at the same time) when I see them behind me.

Wat.

FRyeS 06-13-2013 11:39 AM

Seems to be a popular mod with the FR-S, just making the point that this mod will soon become "played" if it's not there already.(IMO obviously)

Personally i think the LED DRL's look good on and should have stopped with the Audi's. But I also think the concept of DRL's is kind of silly to begin with. (not that I want to have that discussion again).

My Blood alcohol content to OP post coherency ratio is off the fuking charts

:D

All lexus now have LED DRL's... same as audis, and I think a few VW as well... the 370z now comes with them as well, and all new ford suv have them as well...

cool

FRyeS 06-13-2013 12:03 PM

My point was - your mod becomes less cool when half of the cars on the road and your next door neighbors minivan also has the same mod.

That's as succinct as I can be.

Also if you don't know what a phrase or word means, look it up and learn something new. It'll be fun !

fuk half the cars on the road (minivans and SUV) come with tinted windows, better stop doing it

Manufaturers make things main stream (tints, LEDs, touch screen headunit etc) because they are what people want not because they want to make your ride less "cool"

FRSupra 06-13-2013 12:12 PM

It is played out, that happened awhile ago. I'm satisfied in the fact that the fr-s came without led drl.

It's defiantly a euro thing.

Wilsonk227 06-13-2013 07:42 PM

i kind of wish they had it on the frs like the gt86 or the new 10 series. It's more upscale. So what if everyone has it, every car on the road also has tail lights, doesnt mean it's not cool, it's all based on vehicular designs that the manufacturer comes up with. Some drls dont look nice, others look magnificent. But to each his own

SkullWorks 06-13-2013 08:07 PM

omg you guys have you noticed how lots of cars have 2 headlights and door handles...that shit jumped the shark,

also, every car I saw today had 4 wheels,

and then I noticed...they all have seatbelts...

and bumpers

and...if you had bought the upscale car you wouldn't have to "mod" your car to match the minivan your neighbor drives...

If you feel the need to invent discussions to have so you can use terms you just learned...play more scrabble, start less new threads...
