ready,
set,
FLAME!

No flame necessary. That's awesome. My buddy's old 86 had a red bull catch. I like the idea. But as usual someone will come in and hate because it doesn't cost $200. Fuck it I'm in on this!!

Interesting idea, but far from the same as a $200 catch can with a baffle system in it. Also I suspect they carefully selected that can because the shape gives it some additional structural strength that can hold up at least some vacuum.

it has a baffle system! (1) pot cleaner mesh for baffling

the baffle just keeps the oil from getting back in the vacuum line right?

i have a case of that beer in my room. i gotta do this. real question is how to mount it

That's badass. Some of those cans are pretty sturdy. I would go with a coconut water can though.

well, some people buy cusco horizontal catch can which, if i'm not mistaken, doesn't have any baffling. this will work a LOT better. :D
@ML baffling helps to condense oil from the air, a lot of folks recommend to use a metal mesh. there i splenty of info on various forums about that.

i was thinking about getting a cheap $30 catch can from ebay and just add an aluminum screen for baffling..

Reminds me of some of the motorcycle guys using beer/energy drink cans as brake fluid reservoir and I think radiator overflow cans as well. It gives it that garage mechanic look. Now where to find a can of Arashi . . . .

I like it, its a good idea. Basically reusing anything thats going to the trash and use it to add to your car is an awesome idea. Fuck eco friendly, i just like reusing shit.

Would you possibly be able to make a catch can out of a beer can of our choice by chance? I can't get over how cool it looks lol.
