Toyota TwinCam Club SOCIAL - 29 June 2013

Hey everyone!

So after having 3 very successful "performance" events for the year so far, we have decided to tone things down a little bit and have our 2nd social event of the year.

Usually the committee (and some of the members) are very busy running around at the performance events or shows, and we don't really get the opportunity to chat or get to know everyone as well as we should. This event will attempt to rectify this!

We invite you and your family / loved ones to come and join us at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve for a relaxing day out of the hustle and bustle that life is, and simply getting to know your fellow 86 and Toyota enthusiasts a bit better.

It did take us a while to confirm the venue, as it needed to meet certain requirements, including:
- roads leading to venue (and inside venue) must be conducive to lowered cars
- the venue itself needed to be a decent drive away considering petrol prices
- entrance fees needed to be reasonable - some venues were ending up much too expensive for an average family of 4 just to get through the gate, excluding any activites on site, food, petrol etc
...and this venue managed to tick all the right boxes! :w00t:

We will leave in convoy from the Caltex Maxi's N1 Northbound, departing to Rietvlei at 09h00

Things to-do:
- Game-drive route
- Braai, pooitjie etc. (please bring your own food items / condiments)
- Boardgames / Cards (please bring whatever you you would like)
- Sport (please bring soccer, volleyball etc so we can all have some sport other than motorsport http://www.tolken.co.za/twincamforum...on_biggrin.gif )

Facilities:
- Restrooms
- Braai stands
- Large parking area
- Tables/chairs (though you can still bring your own if you wish)
- Small Kiosk Shop

Rules:
- No speeding or revving of cars (keep to the speed limit)
- No loud music
- No littering
- No shooting at the animals :bonk:

We hope to see you all there and have a fun and relaxing day out!

CAN'T WAIT...!! :happyanim:

Visited the picnic spot within the Rietvlei Nature Reserve last weekend to check out this venue as a possibility for the event.
Really enjoyed the day out!

There is a 40km game drive route (all paved roads) within the reserve as well as this very nice picnic spot where we going to host the event.

Don't want to give too much away... but here is some pic's I took on the day:

Not many people looking to social...? :iono:

GeeTee86 06-19-2013 09:57 AM

seems like the average profile of an 86 owner is very introvert haha
