BRZ/FRS Trunk Swap - Re-Badge Options?
Hi Guys,
Judging by this dead thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ht=BRZ+rebadge And some quick searching/googling there is no answer out there for this yet. I own an FR-S and recently swapped trunks w/ a BRZ. So now I'm driving around with a Subaru badge...no bueno (everything else is Scion) I've heard the Subaru badge is just a sticker, and that the Toyota/Scion badges have two holes that I would need to drill my trunk to use. What are my options? The easy option I want is to re-badge w/ Scion, or rebadge the rest as Subaru if that's not an option. Also willing to consider the Toyota rebadging. I feel like a poser right now, and it feels dirty: Now: https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphot...10063672_n.jpg Before: https://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.n...65783097_o.jpg |
I swapped too, but the other way.
When I removed my Subaru badge there were the 2 holes in the trunk. |
You know you could swap the whole piece with the emblem....
That's how I did it |

U can cut the tabs off the scion badge if theres no holes on the subie trunk (tho that would suprise me) the tabs dont hold the badge on, just line it up.

I swapped with someone also, but we literally removed the whole piece where the emblem sits. |
Thanks everyone, we swapped the piece where the emblem sits as recommended and it was a flawless swap!
Thanks 100000x! |
Did a DIY for doing the trunk swap ever come out?? I'm thinking of putting the BRZ trunk/spoiler on my FRS now, but I'm really not sure how to do it. Help a newbie out?? :D
