What oil will you use?

Im just curios as to what brand of motor oil you will be using in the FT86.

I prefer Mobil 1 with a toyota (or subaru?) filter. 0w20, 5w20, 5w30 what ever toyota recommends.

oh and i only put up synthetic oils because if you want to be a tight ass and get the autozone brand oil/ rhino semen, you should be thrown into an industrial sized blender.

I use Mobil 1 5W30 usually.

I use mobile one on both of my cars $22.00 for 5 quart jug at wallmart.

I use AMSOIL full synthetic in my Corolla, and I'll use it in this car.

"think with your dipstick, jimmy!" oil.
Just because of the commercials.
Fuck performance.

in my truck i run castrol gtx, or whatever they use at the toyota dealership when i'm lazy or it's too cold in my driveway.

in my MR2, i use shell rotella 15w40.

I would just use OEM oil, ie whatever is recommended in the handbook.

Thanks for the laugh. I bought my first car in 1952. It was a '47 Ford convertible. Of course that was shortly after the crust of the earth cooled and long before synthetic oil was known by the common man. In the years since I have never (key word being NEVER) had an internal engine problem with an automobile, boat or motorcycle engine that I've owned. And now you're telling me I've been wrong all these years. I'm going to have to go set in the corner and cry !! :sigh:

we could go days on naming oils

ack154 02-16-2010 04:58 PM

I use Mobil1 in my tC now but I don't think I'd make a decision on this one yet... would have to see what the OEM stuff is like I think.

I was just kidding! The ones I named were european oils that are way overpriced! I usually go with the cheapest stuff I find at Walmart!
