How do you remove bird crap?
Damn pigeons!
Went 3-4 days without washing my car this past week and realized after hand washing my car, the bird crap left a mark. I tried re washing that spot and also used a clay bar but no luck. Am I screwed? |

I keep a small bottle of instant detailer and a few clean microfibers in my glove compartment at all times in case I find some bird dirt on my car or if there's a small dribble from the gas pump. |
That sucks!
Someone that knows what they are doing can do that job quick and not remove too much clear coat. Often I find the "cheap" place will do more harm than good by spinning the rotary and using a heavy compound, because it will cut down quick by leaves a horrid finish and removes too much CC. I can't say enough about Opti Coat/Guard for this kind of thing. That bird crap would have not stained or etched the paint like that. Here is some reading on the product and I can put you into contact with someone that can help apply it. http://www.reflections-detailing.com...paint-coating/ there is also a video showing its potential. Cheers, GREG |
Try using a cleaner wax before you do anything abrasive. I had one spot right in the middle of my hood that no washing could get out but a good cleaner wax took care of it.
