6/21 SCCA Solstice In The Park PDX

Hey guys (and girls!)

I am helping out with running/organizing this small limited entry event with the SCCA.

It will include 4ish 5 minute morning heats on the small "autocross" courses, one course dry and one wet. Then after the morning heats everyone get broken up into groups of about 3 to go out on the track and do some "lead follow" laps behind an instructor on the track for about 15 min. After the lapping we will proceed to run the full autocross course dry getting 3ish 5 minute heats.

At the end of the day everyone is welcome to come on down to the pits for the Club Race party where they will have tasty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages free of change for all.

Entry cost for the event is set at $110, plus $15 for a weekend SCCA membership if you currently are not a member. (If you join, the $15 is counted towards your membership!) Also, payment isn't due till the day of the event so you have a little time to save your quarters, dimes, nickels, heck even pennies!

Hoping to see a few BRZ/FR-S's show up and drive them the way were meant to be driven.

Here's the motorsportsreg link for the event and feel free to ask myself or the registrar any questions you have.

I'm in! Will they accept credit card payment at the event?

Sorry, but for the sake of keeping cost down we have chosen to not do credit card payments. Check or cash payment is due at the track in the morning. So save up your change and break open your piggy bank!

Also, a number of us plan on camping out on Thursday night at the track so feel free to bring a tent and join! You will also be able to register at the track that evening.

Ok thanks. I'll start going through the couch cusions :)

My parents live nearby so I'll probably just head in from there.

Booooo... Wanna still come and help out with the event? More volunteers are always welcome.

Either way be on the lookout for a second event later this summer.

This event was more than awesome. I pushed the car harder than I have ever done before, and it just kept giving me what I wanted. The instructors were all very impressed with what these cars can do. I was running on Pilot Super Sports, RCE Yellows, Ferodo DS2500 front pads, and ATE Super Blue. The tires and springs have really transformed the FRS. It's much more composed now, and I can carry way more speed through turns and accelerate on exit much sooner. I'm looking forward to more events.
