I've seen one that slips into the cd slot on the stereo, but I would also be interested in other options.

Personally, I hate clamp style holders, too much "fiddling" to take them off / back on.
Checkout imagnet iPhone holder. http://www.imagnetmount.com/ I mounted mine on the drivers side "little triangle" window and ran a long iPhone charging cord under the ebrake boot and steering column so it comes out at the side of the drivers dash next to the mount.
