got backed into today...

Buddy backed into the left side of my front bumper today. I got the dents popped out
(thank god for plastic) but some of the paint got taken off down to the black primer / plastic feeling stuff. I went to the dealer they said my bumper to bumper doesnt cover it because it was an accident. Are they taking me for a ride? I was planning on taking it to a body shop, but other than that would touch up paint hold up well? I mean the bumpers plastic not metal so i dont expect any rust... I got my car 4 days ago!!!:mad0260::barf::brokenheart::cry::cry::cry:: cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Warranty covers manufacturer defects, not accidents. Insurance covers accidents. Pics would help, but overall I would say take it to a body shop and get it redone right. Touch up paint just wont be the same, depending on the size of what you are trying to cover up. You can take the bumper off the car yourself and take it in, which will save you some money on it (its easy, follow the DIY..i did it in 30 minutes with 0 experience).

i got same paint scrapped off to the black layer.
No dent, just paint peeled off the size of a thumb.
Took it to dealer, I don't know whether they resprayed the area or just did some touch up.
I still can't find the spot. very nice job.

Sorry to read that .....

Sometimes a PDR (Paintless Dent Repair) person can make things all better.
