Stock intake resonator delete

I was wondering if anyone has deleted the stock resonators in the stock tube rather than buying a replacement tube for the stock air box? If so any pictures??

yes. didnt make much of a difference for me but i do have a loud exhaust

ive read quite a few posts about people losing performance doing this. something about how the resonator smooths out the air flow for the stock intake.
