did anyone coat their car with the ibex. and what does it mean if something happens to the paint?

I got it after being relentlessly tag-team-guilt-tripped into by the finance manager and salesperson. After I signed everything and drove the car away I asked a buddy who works at a dealership about it. He said it does absolutely nothing and is a complete waste of money. He also said good luck trying to get any claims approved as they will always find some loophole or just blame you for any damage. FML.
