Bumper VS Concrete Block

:mad0259:

Please save your criticism because I think I've been punished enough already :(

If you take a look at the first pic, you see those concrete blocks? They werent there went I left to work this morning...

Any idea how much it would cost to get this fixed?

Edit:

A bit of a good news for me, the dent buffed itself out :D

If you remove some of that hanging bumper debris and use touch-up paint the damage won't be all that noticeable. A car this low is going to have scratches like that that on the undersides after a while anyway.

To have it done professionally will cost you several hundred for a minor repair/respray.

Not worth fixing imo, throw on some touch up paint if you're self conscious. You probably can't notice it unless you're looking at it straight on within 5-10 ft.

Buy a lip that will cover that area. Kill two birds with one stone

I guess it is worth mentioning my baby is only 2 weeks old :sigh:

I am willing to burn a few hundred bucks if that's what it takes, but I'm wondering if i need to replace the entire bumper or not

Is there OEM lip? Or are we talking aftermarket?

IntotheOcean 06-07-2013 08:01 PM

:hugs: sorry this happened.
I would look up local bodyshops and get price quotes. If its too much than use touch up

Don't know if 5:AD is considered OEM or not, but I know that lip will cover that area. If you're going to spend the money to fix it, you might as well buy a nice looking aftermarket lip.

Man that sucks... I would probably look into getting it fixed too since you know it will be there and, if your like me, will probably bug you.

Whoever put this concrete blocks there should pay for it :)

I will look into that, thanks!

This, a lip will completely negate the dmg.

Here is a thread that has a list of body kits and lips. Take a look and see which one you like. Some will cover the area and look really good. Some might just be enough to cover the area, too.
