Design of Stance control arms vs. others

I'm trying to decide between the Stance arms and pretty much any other. What the Stance arms have that the others don't is a lowered mounting point for the shock.

This seems beneficial because coilovers don't need to be lowered as much, retaining piston travel.

Is this idea overrated? It's hard to find almost any mention of them around here. This seems like a really smart design, and not just for people who want their car slammed.

I wondered the same thing.

I hadn't found your thread in my search. Thanks.

It still doesn't really address the merits of the design. I found people in your thread were getting stuck on the use of heim joints and aluminium in the general design of aftermarket arms.

I'm trying to evaluate if I really need this added travel the Stance arms give. Otherwise I'll go with the SPCs because they seem like a simple design that are easily adjustable.

I run the stance arms. Build quality is awesome, no noises, vibrations or other issues at all. I was able to spin my ground control rear coils up 1/2" and retain the same height. Adjusting during alignment was easy as well. Sorry, I'm not an engineer so I can't comment on geometry and whatnot but everything in the rear end feels the same as the factory arms did
