BRZ Navigation Freeze/Crash
 

Whenever I have the navigation on for road trips (with AND without route guidance), it would freeze on me after a while. The map will not move and everything on the touchscreen would become non-responsive. When I press the Audio button and then press back the GPS button, the screen would be black, and there's no way to get it to work until I restart my car again. Everything else seems to still work after my navigation crashes (audio, voice command, phone, etc.)

Does anyone else have this problem?

There's a TSB for the NAV that invloves replacing an antenna bracket that might help this. I've had issue with my NAV but haven't yet scheduled the TSB work.

Thanks, I knew there was a TSB that involves GPS lock issues (which I also have), but didn't know it included system freezes.

Seems like the TSB was issued on Oct 2012. I bought my BRZ on April 2013. Do they not apply these TSBs unless there's a complaint/problem?

Check this thread for the Nav TSB to see if your VIN is affected or if the countermeasure was in place when they built yours.
