I have the new version, the old one was... Scary.

OrbitalEllipses 06-06-2013 05:41 PM

I JUST installed my "old" style ones. Wonderful.

AND the "new" ones are cheaper? WTF.

JPxM0Dz 06-06-2013 05:41 PM

I think I need these! Not as sexy as the Stance LCA, but might have more functionality for the cost difference

FT-86 SpeedFactory 06-06-2013 05:47 PM

Sorry guys, not really NEW vs OLD as it is:

Only option before was WRX arms ( Old Style ) +/- 3 degree of camber adjustment.

New Option is FRS/BRZ ( New Style ) +/- 2 degree of camber adjustment.

So the new ones don't give you as much camber adjustment.

Looks a lot more "oem" than old ones

If your car is street driven, I think the stamped steel with the eccentric adjustment makes a ton of sense. Reliable and no heim joints/threads or potentially cheap aluminum billet to worry about.

This did terrify me too when I caught it on FT86SF a couple weeks ago. Jeremy drowned out most of my worries about my "old" style LCA's.

It's been several thousand miles and I haven't died even once! New ones seem like a great and very affordable option for people who just need some camber correction after lowering.

Are the bushings the same size, materail and durameter as stock? If not, how do they differ? Can you weigh the two for us? And give an idea of the weight distribution? The older design looks like it would have more weight closer to the wheel, so more unsprung mass then the new design.

As always, thanks a ton guys.
