18x8 +40 WITH 10mm spacer? LFA wheels :)

On ebay you can get LFA replica wheels for only about $650. they're the perfect size and offset... but they are only available in 5x114.3. Project Kics sells a 10mm spacer conversion for $250 but its a 10mm spacer. would the wheels poke out a lot? essentially, this would be like having an 18x8 +50 wheel, right?

added a photoshop of the car with LFA wheels...

18x8 +40 should be fine adding a 10mm spacer will make it +30 which is probably an unnecessary cost. Stock is +48. Only available in 5x100 isn't a negative given we have a 5x100 bolt pattern.

I think the OP means " but they are only available in 5X114.3"

In which case he'd need a hub conversion kit making it not very viable.

That's what I'm saying. It's a +40 wheel but I would have to use the 10mm spacer adapter. Bad idea?

I saw a post for 5x114.3 hubs... U may wanna search for it if u really want 5x114.3 rims

i see that megan sells the 5x114.3 conversion. i'm a megan distributor so that would be the way to go :) BUT... if I just went with the cheap spacer converters... what would that look like? i can never figure out the whole offset calculation thing. wheel is +40 spacer is 10mm so...? is that equivalent to a +30 wheel or +50 wheel? in either case, how would it look?

You could make 18x8 +30 work if you really gotta have these wheels.

sounds like alot of work for replica.

If you had the real deal yeah sure go for it but not for replica... thats my honest opionon.

Anyone have any 18x8 +30 wheels on FRS? I'm trying to pick out wheels with my wife and she hates everything I've shown her. Everything looks "too ricey" to her. She suggested stock Lexus/Toyota wheels. That's where I came up with the idea for LFA wheels.

I have some 18x7.5 +48 volk se37ks and used some H&R spacers to make them all flush - 20mm in front and 30mm in the rear. So in doing so I basically have 18x7.5 +28 in the front and 18x7.5 +18 in the rear.

Funny I wasn't into flushness prior to my FRS, but now that I have it perfectly flush (with help from spacers) I can can say having it flush looks way better than having it sucked in like stock.

I have 17x8.5+32
Rears fit and are perfect.
Fronts poke a smidge.
So these will be fine

contact rotiform and have them make a set of SNA in 5x100... very similar design to the LFA wheels:

as far as stock wheels go, you don't have much from Toyota/Lexus... I think the only options are from the Corolla, Matrix and tC. I don't think Lexus has anything wth a 5x100 bolt pattern.

Subaru wheels however will mostly fit. Outside of the STI and the Tribeca I think most of their wheels are 5x100.
