SUBARU 4Pot Calipers "Bremboed" Direct Bolt On- SD, CA CHEAP!

1 Attachment(s)
PER MY WIFE'S COMMENT (OR COMMAND) I NEED THESE OUT OF MY GARAGE ASAP, SO I CAN DO $350 SHIPPED THIS WEEKEND AS A FOURTH OF JULY SPECIAL :)

Hey everyone,
I recently picked up a couple of sets of front Subaru 4Pot calipers for my upcoming BRZ (a black and red set, I will keep the red ones). This one used to be red but was repainted by the previous owner with high-temp black paint and applied Brembo decals; they seem to be in great condition. This will work nicely with a FR-S or a BRZ, or you can repaint them to say whatever you want (since it is not the calipers with the raised "SUBARU" letters). These are a direct bolt-on to any FR-S or BRZ as it uses the stock rotors and caliper mounting points, just install and bleed and you are all set! Comes with all pins and clips as well as a pretty much new set of Bosch brake pads!!! These originally came of a 2007 WRX.

These are in San Diego. I can do $400 picked up or $425 shipped. First come first served :)

virjose 06-04-2013 04:47 PM

virjose 06-04-2013 11:08 PM

This is a regular WRX caliper with a Brembo sticker in it? Is there any advantage over the BRZ brakes? Aren't the BRZ calipers 4 pot too? (Honest questions, just want to see what type of upgrade this is).

virjose 06-05-2013 02:29 PM

As mentioned, these are manufactured by subaru (came stock as an upgrade on 06-07 WRXs) and the previous owner painted them black and applied brembo decals over the subaru part, which is why I thought it would be a good item for the FRS crowd since it doesn't say subaru anymore. You can repaint them and put whatever you want on them

And no, the stock calipers are only 2pots as only one side has pistons and the other just gets the pressure. These have 2 pistons on each side :)

While he stock frs/brz calipers are good, these are an upgrade both functionally as well as visually.

Lmk!

Any pics of these installed? Any interference with oem wheels?

Here is a thread that details the bolt on process as well as pictures of a BRZ with them on.

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=749255

THe stock wheels should be large enough to allow for these to fit (I havent done it myself yet), but worst comes to worst a small 3mm spacer (if at all) is all you would need on stock wheels. (these originally came installed on the 06-07 WRXs which also had 17x7 wheels).

Here are some pics:

They are! I'm actually picking up a set this weekend. Sti red with ebc rotors as pads. This is a good deal, I'd jump on it.

Sweet set of brakes if you want to keep 17's and not spend AP racing money.

virjose 06-16-2013 03:15 AM

Thanks! for the bump

I can ship these out in a USPS flat rate box which should get to you within 2-3 days, as a result I can do $415 shipped since shipping will be cheaper than I thought! LMK

virjose 06-16-2013 08:41 PM

All packed and ready to go! $400 shipped ;) lets get these sold!

Are you sure? I always thought the front calipers were cast iron.

Well if they are aluminum, OP should take a picture of them on a scale to give a potential buyer incentive ;)

Vten 06-18-2013 12:40 AM

the one with raised Subaru letter is cast , no raised letter is aluminum ....am I correct ?

If you hop on the FT86 facebook page, I have photos of my fronts vs. stock weight on there.

They are aluminum, the ones with raised letters are cast.

charged86 06-19-2013 12:23 PM

Eek wantssssssz

virjose 06-20-2013 03:35 AM

I believe all front ones made by Subaru are cast iron, the rear ones are certainly aluminum. These dont have the raised letters but they are cast iron. They are comparable weight to the stock ones, but provide much better performance. LMK!

BUMMMMMP!

I finally got my BRZ this past weekend (picked it up from Colorado Springs and drove it back to San Diego). First thing on Sunday, my dad and I did a custom fit of the Subaru 4/2pot setup. I can say now that the front is a direct swap! It took us 15minutes to install and we only needed like a 5-7mm spacer for the stock wheels to clear.

Let me know who wants these, as an added bonus, I went ahead and rebuilt these black calipers as well (I did it for my red ones) so they come with brand new seals and boots!

Flat Black VW 06-26-2013 05:41 PM

just let a friend know about these since he wants a set for his FXT. I Just got a set and plan to install them in a couple weeks, so according to your last post I do need spacers?

virjose 06-27-2013 08:42 PM

Sounds good and thanks for the referral! As far as the spacers, I believe I used either 5 or 7mm, and it clears it nicely, again, this is just on stock BRZ wheels, your friend on his FXT should have no problems.

Yeah I was referring to my BRZ. I already have a set of these that I am currently stripping down to repaint and rebuild and I was just seeing what I needed. Im running the stock wheels with Hotchkis Sport springs so Im gonna go with 20mm front and 30mm rear spacers. Should be good to go after that.

virjose 07-03-2013 05:12 PM

Any takers? LMK

Shoot me a pm if you have them

DSOmegaX 07-06-2013 12:37 AM

Hm is be interested. Front only right? I'm located in south OC. Do you know if the rear is a direct bolt on as well?

Stealth Gt86 07-07-2013 06:40 PM

I wonder how they would look like behind my wheels. are they a noticeable upgrade? I know when I put ls400 brakes on my is300 is was night and day difference. but they look small and I have 18s

im very interested in a response as far as the performance, I have paypal ready.

Scooby South 07-07-2013 07:01 PM

How did you mount your rears??? and what rotor did you you use???

YDNA 07-07-2013 08:04 PM

do you only have fronts or both fronts and rears?

RurumariGhost 07-08-2013 10:49 AM

These 4-pot calipers are what the subaru road racing teams, and rally teams ran as they clear smaller wheels than the 6-pot sti setups of similar years (06-07). They were offered on the wrx limited trim.

virjose 07-12-2013 01:40 PM

These are sold already. Please close :)
