I looked into it. My local distributor is not carrying it as they feel its a bit inferior to the other 3m products (this is marketed more to the retail crowd as opposed to the professional which my local distributor caters to). Once I heard they wouldn't touch it I got a funny vibe

it might be good though. I would not do half a panel (like half the hood as shown in some of the youtube videos). Full panels only so no seam

I think, like most things, its all about the prep. If you tape well and do it in a garage (no wind) then you might get decent results.

Thanks for the info. It makes sence to not do only half the hood since the sun will probably fade the untreated portion faster, and water and dirt would also gather at the seam.

I just ordered some from amazon, with the nozzle attachment thing, which is supposed to make the spray more even. I only plan to do the front bumper area, to avoid rock chips and suchlike. I'll post an update after I have time to wash/wax/spray.
