Turbo Questions

So I did a little searching and came up with nothing, so dont eat me alive.
Im going to turbo my frs, everything is stock thus far. What is the estimated max HP on the stock clutch and im thinking of going with either the P&L turbo or the GREDDY, any ideas? Thanks for your help guys!

I am just throwing Guestimate game here.

Stock Clutch Normally Hold up to 300 HP with no problem

To turbo your FRS, a Forum can not give you enough details in what you are going to need, only the Professional Shop can.

The General Ideas of a Turbo car is

1/ Intercooler
2/ Header and Gaskets
3/ Cat Back
4/ Fuel Mods, Injectors, Fuel Pump, Fuel Line, for more Fuel, and higher Pressure
5/ Engine Management system
6/ Upgraded Spark Plugs, Coils, Wires
7/ UEGO Wideband sensor, and the Gauges
8/ Boost Controler
9/ Upgraded Oil Cooler
10/Blow Off Valve if needed
11/ Turbos
12/ Good Tuner

Do expect 7-10k into Turbo it. Do Expect another 10k just in case in the future, you ended up Grenades your Engine.

**Every Shop, and Person will build your car differently**

Good luck, and have fun, stay safe !

It depends on what your power goal is. The stock fuel system has been reported to do fine up till about 250-300hp. Same for the clutch.

Not all of what @Whitigir posted is necessary and some of it comes with the kits. Also, 10k isn't necessary for a lower powered setup.

plan was for about 300hp and wanted to make sure the stock engine could handle it and, is that full blown kit good for a manual trans too?

300hp seems to be the usual tipping point for the clutch, so if your goal is 300hp, you might not need an aftermarket clutch, but I would strongly recommend it. Also anything over 300hp is when you have to start getting more serious with internals. Don't expect a completely stock motor with a turbo kit to last if you're pushing 30 psi.

Full Blown seems to be very good from what I gather over the time in this Forum. Transmission has nothing to do with Forced Induction (Aka Turbo/Super Charger)

300HP at the Fly wheel can be Guestimated to translate into 245 RWHP on the Dyno, depend on the dyno. Stock internal can handle this much

Full Blown has been Strechting the Stock Internal on FI. They are the best people to call up.

I guess again, Stock internal, Good setup and tune, running 93 Octane, you can have it around 350 RWHP, which is 400+ to the flywheel. Remember to get better clutch btw

Remember to have a build thread :)

I will be interested in the Twin Scroll + Equal Header + Billet Wheels on a turbo system. I wonder if Full Blow have such a kit.

Also, remember, when it comes to modding, there are many Kits, many Brands, many builds....ect

Fast, Reliable, Cheap. You can only pick 2 !!!!!!!!!!
