am i hearing things?
 

Can someone who has tracked there car reasure me that this engine is reliable. I have about 3500 on the dash and i think i hear it breaking up at high revs and it scares the crap out of me because im not hearing any weird noises at idle or that pop from the injectors leaking.

Reliability depends on use case.

If your use case is 'tracking', or just 'shifting near the red line' often, then you're aware of a calibration issue which can destroy the direct injector seals. An updated calibration supposedly fixes this issue.

And how would i go about updating it? Take it to the dealer, what would i have to say, what if they say they have no idea what im talking about?
