Anyone else have recent extenuating circumstances that will prohibit your purchase?

Originally I planned to be one of the first people to buy this car when it comes out. I would have saved enough for a 30% down payment...

However, I live in one of the biggest party cities in the country which just happens to be in one of the poorest states. So I'm worried about it getting torn up just driving around town. I will be moving this summer to Quantico, VA for officer candidate school for the Marines. But again, I don't want to buy the car just to leave it out in the open 24/7. So it looks like it'll be at least a year before I'm in a nice city with access to a garage. Its gonna be torture seeing the frs in a dealer ship instead of my drive way:cry:

Anyone else get their plans to buy this car pushed back?

You're not missing anything.

Was there any real need for you to post that? :P

It's never worth being one of the first to buy a brand new model. If anything it could be for the best to let the market cool down a bit from the initial rush and for some kinks to get worked out in the later production runs. The car is at least going to be a 5 year production run so it will still be around when you're ready.

Good luck at OCS. Were you previous enlisted?

Its not a type r, it will be fine left outside, and when i was in the military my cars always sat outside, you will want to have something to drive around on the weekend if they allow that and nothing is a better stress reliever than taking your pride and joy for a ride......just get it man....There will always be things that get in the way, no better time than now to get what you want...

Good luck in the marine officer training, much respect to those guys :word:

Just buy it.

I'm pretty sure you will need something to look forward to while your in it.

Good luck and don't quit no matter what.

just buy a car cover and keep it covered. not like it's a Ferrari or anything, I think it'll be pretty safe on base.

Cant help you with the car choice but good luck at OCS. My younger brother just graduated from OCS at Quantico in the Fall.

Just wait until you are done and in a better location/situation. Good things come to those who wait! :happy0180:

Nope, fresh out of college. I'm currently killing time in grad school until OCS this fall.

The voice of reason! I keep telling my self that, but every time I check this website it makes me want the car even more :)

I guess if I don't buy it this summer, I'll buy it next spring at the latest. Until then I'll be at the dealership test driving one every weekend :bonk:

I didn't realize WVU was a big party school.
