Tips to stop stuff from moving around in the trunk

Anybody have any solutions for stopping stuff from moving around in the trunk during spirited driving? I'm half tempted to drill holes in the trunk liner and bungee a milk crate down, or something.
Thanks!

I run my car with the back of the rear seat down like a two seater and I carry nothing that doesn't fit in the glove box or the center console.

You could fix a net to the far end of the trunk, where the rear seats begin, then hook it to the close end of the trunk, near to the hatch and thus pin down all there is.
Or you could just emptry the trunk before driving spiritedly (cheaper)

Wasn't there a kind of Subaru-Branded trunk organizer bag similar to the ROLA?!
Yes, there was....

You could empty it or max it out.

You could also get a rubber trunk mat and then a bunch of boxes to keep it all together. I use boxes I get when I order stuff from amazon.

I flipped the trunk mat over as a no cost way to get rid of the scion logo and it turns out that the moderately grippy surface on the bottom is much better at keeping items in place, especially when coupled with the ROLA trunk organizer referenced above.

I have the Subaru rubber mat (came with the car) and it actually works pretty well. For multiple smaller things here is what I did.

There are two bolts that protrude into the trunk from the passenger compartment. (pic 1) The bolts are securing the brackets that allow a child seat to be secured in the back seats. (pic 2) It is a 5/16" coarse thread bolt with a 1/2" head. Remove that bolt and replace it with another 5/16 coarse thread bolt that has a 1.25" long threaded shank. (pic 3)

From inside the trunk I used the now longer threaded portion to attach a 5/16" "Cold Shuts" hook. (pic 4) Using this hook and a nut allows just enough space to slip the handle of a bag (Subaru bag pictured) into the hook. (pic 5, 6 and, 7)

You can even use this to hang grocery bags inside the trunk. Total cost 7 dollars at Ace Hardware.
